Sources and terms
Listening Post is an invite-only job-search workspace from The Intelligence Company. This page says where its job postings come from, what writes its drafts, and where your data is kept.
Employers' own job pages: the record
A job counts only once the employer's own careers page or applicant-tracking system shows it. The weekly sweep checks each tracked opening against the public job-board APIs of Greenhouse and Ashby to see whether it is still open. It reports changes for you to approve; it changes nothing on its own.
Terms: postings and their text belong to the employers that publish them. The two APIs are the public ones those companies provide for job boards.
Job alerts you forward, and links you paste
You can forward job-alert emails, or paste a posting or link. Listening Post reads them only for the jobs they point to. Listings on aggregators (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, ClearanceJobs, Google Jobs and similar) are treated as leads, never as the record, until the employer's own page confirms them.
Terms: each site's own terms apply to its listings and emails.
Drafts: Anthropic's Claude
Draft resumes are written by Anthropic's Claude (Claude Sonnet 5 by default; Claude Opus 5 when you choose it), from your own master resume and the employer's posting. Every draft is checked before you see it, and you review and send it yourself. Nothing is ever submitted for you.
Terms: Anthropic's commercial terms for its API. A draft is machine-written and can be wrong.
Where your data lives
Your board, drafts and settings are kept in Google Firebase (Firestore, United States multi-region), behind Google sign-in. Only invited accounts can sign in. Each account sees its own board, plus any board its owner has chosen to share with it, read-only; only the owner can change a board.
Terms: Google Cloud and Firebase terms of service.
